Resident Transportation - Back to top

VillageResident Transportation Manor offers a transportation bus service to residents. Residents going to in-town doctor’s appointments can use this service free-of-charge.

Village Manor is happy to transport residents to other destinations. A small fee is charged for travel out of town or to destinations other than doctor’s appointments.

Respite, Hospice, & Adult Day Care - Back to top

Respite,Respite, Hospice, & Adult Day Care hospice, and day care are available at Village Manor. For those family members who aren’t quite ready to give up full-time care of their loved ones, we offer several alternatives to long-term care. Adult day care provides caregivers much needed personal time for appointments, errands, and daily activities. Respite care is temporary long-term care and relieves the caregiver for a longer period of time, usually one day to one month. Hospice services in concert with Home Health and Hospice of Dickinson County are available for those who need end-of-life care.

Short-termShort-Term Recovery recovery rooms are for individuals who require additional assistance following surgery or an illness, if a primary caregiver is temporarily unavailable, or if the individual requires more help than their caregiver can provide. The semi-private rooms are furnished, tastefully decorated, and move-in ready.

Short-term residents receive round-the-clock care, therapy services on site through Memorial Health System Rehabilitation, nutritious meals with dietitian support, and will have their medications managed by the nurses on staff. Housekeeping services are provided and cable television is available in the rooms. Residents may also engage in the numerous activities that Village Manor has to offer.

VillageSkilled Nursing Care Manor offers skilled nursing care to meet each resident’s needs by developing an individualized care plan.

Our registered nurses, certified aides, and other specially trained staff follow this plan. Physicians and consulting specialists visit Village Manor residents on a regular basis; and for those needs that can’t be satisfied with a house call, Memorial Hospital and physicians’ offices are just minutes away. For residents whose families are far away, Village Manor provides transportation to local appointments free of charge.

I am ReAnn Nichols, the Director of Nursing at Village Manor. It is my job to ensure the highest level of quality care is given to each resident in a safe, secure, and comfortable environment. I am proud to say that the caring staff at Village Manor prides themselves on providing excellent, personalized care to residents. I am glad to have the opportunity to provide care to the elder population. Residents and visitors are welcome to stop by my office at anytime.

Special Care Unit - Back to top

ASpecial Care Unit special care unit is available when long-term care just isn’t enough--especially for those with Alzheimer’s Disease or other memory-related disorders. That is why this unit features specially trained staff who sees to the residents’ unique needs.

Security is always a priority in the unit where doors are kept locked and the outside courtyard is enclosed. Daily activities like reminiscence therapy, crafts, and music are designed to keep residents functioning at the highest level possible. Regular visits from family are encouraged for the residents. For family members, a support system, counseling, and educational materials are available.

RecoveryTherapy Services is often an important part of life at Village Manor. Many residents come to Village Manor for short stays to recover from illness, surgery, or injury and then return home.

The Memorial Health System Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine department is dedicated to helping residents literally get get back on their feet. We offer occupational, physical, and speech therapy. Therapy services are also available when needed to long-term residents.
